Porcelain Veneers & Lumineers

One of our most popular cosmetic dentistry solutions, porcelain veneers and Lumineers allow us to effectively conceal a number of flaws with just one treatment. Traditional porcelain veneers are thin sheaths of dental grade porcelain that we attach to the front facing parts of teeth. If we determine porcelain veneers are the right way to improve the look of your smile and conceal chips, cracks, gaps, and stains, the process requires two appointments. During the first appointment, we will remove a small amount of surface tooth enamel that allows the veneer to lay flat within the smile line. Then, we’ll capture impressions of the prepared teeth that are used by our dental lab to craft the custom veneers. Before you leave, we place a temporary veneer to protect your smile. When we receive the custom veneer from our dental lab, you will return to our office where we’ll exchange the temporary for a custom veneer. Lumineers are designed, crafted, and placed in the same way. Because Lumineers are crafted from an extremely thin layer of enamel, no dental structure will need to be removed prior to designing and placing them.

Metal Free Restorations

All-ceramic dental crowns, inlays, onlays, and bridges provide our patients with equal amounts of cosmetic and restorative improvement. This unique treatment material is ideal for those patients who need to repair front facing teeth and those who have allergies and sensitivities to metal. Additionally, we can place an all-ceramic dental crown in order to conceal a purely cosmetic flaw like misshapen or severely stained teeth. The placement process for metal free restorations are the same as that of any other material.

Direct Bonding

Using the composite resin material used to create tooth-colored fillings, we can conceal or correct smile flaws like chips, cracks, gaps, and stains on teeth. Like a tooth-colored filling, we simply apply the composite resin material directly to the tooth, shape it into position, and use a curing light to harden the material into position. Once this is done, you can leave our office with a flawless smile. For those patients with minimal cosmetic irregularity, direct bonding may be a viable alternative to porcelain veneers that can be completed in just one appointment.

In-Practice Whitening

Unlike retail brand whitening agents that promise dramatic smile transformations they can’t deliver, in-practice whitening is able to brighten patients’ smiles up to ten shades with just one, short appointment at our Long Beach or Torrance dental office. We simply apply the whitening agent to the teeth, allow it to work for fifteen minutes at a time, and judge the progress. Most patients see their desired results in less than an hour of treatment. Typically, in-office whitening brightens smiles up to ten shades.

At-Home Whitening Kits

Take-home whitening kits from our team offer superior smile whitening results compared to over the counter whiteners available in your local pharmacy or other retail location. Unlike these over the counter whiteners, take home whitening kits combine a custom crafted application tray with professional doses of the active whitening agent. These customized whitening kits are effective in delivering the same smile brightening results that are possible with in-office treatments over the course of several weeks of application.

Gum Recontouring & Crown Lengthening

In some cases, the less-than-ideal appearance of a patient’s smile is actually caused by the shape or amount of gum tissue. In these instances, we may recommend a procedure called gum recontouring. Using our state-of-the-art soft tissue laser, we’ll carefully remove a precise amount of gum tissue to even out the smile line or reduce the amount of gum tissue without causing excessive bleeding or discomfort for our patients. Crown lengthening is performed in the same way, but it’s done to enable the placement of a dental crown, when there was previously inadequate tooth structure exposed to support the restoration.

Digital Imaging & Virtual Smile Designing

Digital imaging is one of the most essential parts of cosmetic dentistry services at our office. We’re able to show patients potential solutions, create samples of what their smiles may look like after treatment, and ensure patient confidence in every cosmetic dentistry solution we provide. Before you invest hours or dollars in a cosmetic dentistry service, let our team give you the opportunity to virtually try on your new smile, share it with friends and family, and know you are choosing the right treatment for you.
